Monday AM Admin: Countdown to Dreamforce ’11 #5

Last year prior to Dreamforce I did a countdown that included the five (or so) sessions that Button-Click Admins should attend. This year I will do the same. Dreamforce can be a bit overwhelming for a newbie (and even returning veterans).  Starting today I will kick off a 5 post countdown to help you get ready for Dreamforce. I’ll be pointing out sessions that should be on your agenda. We will start with a three-fer because two are not really sessions, but something that will aid in returning to Dreamforce if you can pull it off. Monday AM Admin: Core- Admin productivity

This week ButtonClickAdmin is proud to have a guest post by Matt Brown, Salesforce MVP and Salesforce Admin for Blackboard Inc. Monday AM Admin: The Social Network

In 2008 after an epic Admin 301 class I came in to work and was tasked with ‘fixing Salesforce’ which meant doing a soup to nuts customization of our entire org. At that time, twitter was fairly new, I used facebook to keep up with only my closest friends and the Help & Training section of Salesforce was, well to be honest, a bit less than. Over the past few years these channels have exploded- in a good way. I remember thinking to myself “I need to add a Salesforce column to tweetdeck because I’m following so many people who talk Salesforce.” What a ride the last few years have been for social media and collaboration!
