I’m going to start off this post with a video I would like you to watch. It’s called KLM surprise and maybe you have seen it. Sounds simple enough! Now, what I would like to do is create a workflow to send me an email when that person has a birthday. But since we can’t do workflows on User records (vote for the idea here) what I did was create a User report that included that field and scheduled it to run on the first day of the month and email me. Monday AM Admin: Rethinking the Executive Homepage

One of the pillars to Salesforce adoption is getting Executive buy in. By that I’m not referring to Executives signing off on a purchase order, I mean using Salesforce and finding value in it. I’m also going to venture a guess that each Executive in your organization has a different skill set and comfort factor in using Salesforce. One conundrum I run into with Executives is that they don’t log in enough to be power users (if yours does, count yourself lucky) and get really familiar with Salesforce. The few times they do log in it’s usually minutes before a meeting and they need info ASAP.
