This year I will be taking my first trip down south to Austin for the South By Southwest festival as blogger and as part of my new job as Manager of Social Enterprise. I’ve tried to follow the same mantra I use for Dreamforce by spending some quality time with the schedule and not overbooking myself (too much). That being said, if you  are heading to Austin you can check out my schedule here and hopefully we can meet up. Key sessions I will be attending- Multiplayer Work: An Idea Whose Time Has Come? Are we killing social with social? Social + Location + Mobile = The Perfect Beer Community & Influence: How Not to Piss People Off Not to mention I look forward to trying some of that yummy Salesforce ice cream and catching up with my friends at the Marketo booth! Thursday AM Admin: How to be a Super Salesforce Admin!

| December 8th, 2011 | 5 Comments »

Today I had the privilege of speaking at the Wisconsin User Group meeting in Milwaukee, and I want to thank ButtonClickAdmin.com Supporter and Salesforce User Group Leader Julia Napolitano for helping to organize this. If you haven’t attended a Salesforce User Group meeting (or haven’t in a while) I highly encourage you to do so, it’s really one of the best ways to connect with other Button-click Admins, Developers, and Users. The speech I gave today was “How to be a Super Salesforce Admin!”; it covers six of the best practices that Salesforce Admins can and should be doing to be a Super Admin. Below are the slides I shared with the group. I would love to get your feedback and continue the discussion about how to be a Super Salesforce Admin! Passion. Determination. Generosity. These three words do a very good job of describing a Button-click admin. But they do a better job of describing a Salesforce User-Group leader. It only takes one person to be passionate about something and be willing to spread that passion to start something special. Each of the Salesforce User-group leaders have those qualities in them- the passion, determination, and generosity to help out other Admins, Developers, and users. That’s what makes them so special. Before there was Facebook, Twitter, and social media there were user group leaders. They made phone calls, sent emails, and organized, organized, organized- and still do! That is why I’m launching a Supporters page , this page is devoted to User Group Leaders and thought leaders with the intent of introducing you. This page a testimonial of me, but of the blog and the information found within it. My goal is to increase

This week I did a guest post on the Salesforce blog with tips to help you get the most out of Dreamforce when you don’t have a wingman. Having a plan and making the most of your time is key at this conference, but so is having fun. I try to help you balance the two. You can read the post here, and be sure to check back on Monday as we continue our Countdown to Dreamforce.
